For an AI in Service of Humanity
PREAMBLE
Humanity’s progress has always been driven by technological breakthroughs: from mastering fire to the invention of the printing press, advances in medicine, and the ability to connect continents through flight.
In the 21st century, within a rapidly digitalizing world, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative force with immense potential—most of which remains unexplored. To navigate this unprecedented disruption, we find it imperative to establish principles to guide our relationship with AI.
PRINCIPLES
1st People First
Technology, and AI in particular, must serve humanity—not the other way around.
2nd AI as a Catalyst for Individual and Collective Progress
Digitalization and AI hold the power to address both local and global challenges, benefiting humanity as a whole.
3rd Individual Social Responsibility (ISR)
As inhabitants of Earth, sharing a common origin, we acknowledge our individual responsibility to use AI ethically and responsibly, in alignment with the principles of putting people first and fostering progress.
4th Organizational Ethical Commitment (CSR)
Organizations that develop, manage, or use AI must explicitly commit to ethical and responsible practices. This commitment includes transparency, safeguarding data privacy, and prevention of discriminatory biases, all in adherence to the foundational principles of this manifesto.
5th Human-Centered Digital Solutions
We pledge to integrate these principles into our daily work. From project conception to implementation, we commit to designing digital solutions that prioritize humanity and uphold these values.
COMMITMENT
We, the undersigned of the Manifesto, commit to implementing these principles, promoting their adoption, and encouraging organizations—both public and private—to do the same. Together, we can build a smarter, more inclusive, and human-centered future.
